Tyrese Haliburton Stuns Cavaliers with Wild Buzzer-Beating Dagger in Game 2

On Tuesday, Tyrese Haliburton and the Indiana Pacers managed to snatch victory even after being far behind.

The Pacers fell behind the Cleveland Cavaliers 119-116 with less than half a minute remaining in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference semifinals matchup at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio. At that juncture, the Cavs maintained control after having inbounded the ball following a timeout.

But a bad inbounds pass from Max Strus was picked off easily by Pacers guard Andrew Nembhard. Haliburton took charge and drove hard to the basket to draw a shooting foul with 12.1 seconds left. The All-Star guard made the first free throw to cut the deficit to two but was short on the second attempt.

Haliburton retrieved his own rebound, brought the ball back out beyond the arc, and drained a clutch three-pointer at the buzzer, silencing the crowd with a victory.

On two different instances, the Pacers took a lead of up to 20 points. After Donovan Mitchell made two foul shots to give the Cavaliers a 119-112 advantage with only 57 seconds left, they seemed defeated. However, despite Mitchell's impressive 48-point performance, Indiana managed to overcome both this and a significant shortfall, securing a dominant 2-0 series lead against the Eastern Conference’s number one team.

Following their victory in Game 1 away from home, Indiana was still in an advantageous position with a split heading into Game 3. However, Haliburton delivered another decisive blow on Tuesday evening, much as he did against the Indiana Pacers earlier in the week. It's intriguing to ponder how Tyrese’s father, John Haliburton, might have reacted. viewing from his sofa at home .
