The 2025 Met Gala are present and among them are some of the most prominent figures in Hollywood look spectacular on the red carpet.

One of those stars happens to be none other than Demi Moore . The Oscar-nominated actress donned a black dress with white, diagnonal stripes. The strapless dress had a headdress made of the same material that went around her head like a halo and connected back to the dress.

The yearly gala for the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute serves multiple purposes, including raising funds, but it's become a cultural spectacle where celebrities show up in their most outlandish attire yet and strike poses for photographers at the top of the museum's famous stairs.

Demi kept her look simple with a natural make up look with a blush lip and filled in eyebrows. Her hair was pinned back with a bun and she wore white dangling earings with matching bangles on each wrist.

In her possession was a black leather purse shaped like a dog with white rhinestones accenting it.

However, supporters on X, previously known as Twitter, expressed the same sentiment.

"One commented it should have won an Oscar." The actress was nominated for Best Actress at the Academy Awards in March for her performance in The Substance, but she lost to Mikey Madison, who took home the award for her role in Anora.

Another person online tied the loss to her outfit, writing, "Demi Moore you deserve an Oscar for this look."

This year's theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, draws from Monica L. Miller's 2009 book on "Black dandyism" entitled "Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity."
