'Animal' Accused: Vero Beach Man Arrested for Alleged Teen Murder-For-Hire Plot

A Vero Beach man who was facing sentencing for forcing a teenage girl in 2021 to sign a "sex slave contract" is now accused of trying to have her killed before she could testify.

Eric Flowers, the sheriff of Indian River County, mentioned that his department has been looking into the case for quite some time now.

"This dude is a total beast," Flowers stated.

Based on an arrest warrant, Andrew Mustapick, aged 70, allegedly had her sign a contract to serve as his sex slave twice weekly, in return for purchasing a vehicle for her acquaintance.

After the teenager reported him to law enforcement, Mustapick was taken into custody. He later entered a guilty plea and his sentencing was set for June.

"His plan was to withdraw the plea deal," Flowers said. "And then if the victim was and if the victim is no longer here, he essentially gets sentenced to nothing."

Flowers said before the arrest in the murder-for-hire plot, the suspect was reportedly captured on video footage tossing electronics into the river.

He said the suspect initially allegedly offered $40,000 to convince the victim to refuse to testify and then reportedly offered another $50,000 to have her killed if she still decided to testify.

Flowers stated that the individual who informed the authorities regarding the supposed murder-for-hire scheme is a "hero" in this situation.

Thus, in March, we received notification of this situation," Flowers stated. "We appreciate the individual who stepped forward with information. At present, we won’t disclose their identity. However, we wouldn't be addressing this matter now without that person’s intervention and disclosure.

Mustapick remains in the Indian River County Jail on a $7,000 bond.
