Surprising Twist in Premier League's Last 100 Matches: Liverpool Grabs Second Spot!

Liverpool won the 2024-25 Premier League titled "at a canter, yet do they lead the league table across the last 100 matches?"
Over the last 100 games, City are still top of the Premier League, but only just, and they are being outdone by Arsenal on goal difference. The Gunners have been pipped for second by Liverpool , thanks to the points they accumulated during their championship win.
Villas and Newcastle have maintained strong showings with Unai Emery and Eddie Howe at their helms, securing fourth and fifth place overall across the past 100 matches.
Both of them have surpassed Manchester United, a club that hasn't been aided by their poor performance this season.
Chelsea’s poor form has also not helped them, and though they are coming back into form now, it will take another few positive performances for them to break back into one of the better positions.
Tottenham are evidently not at their peak performance level, having barely managed to stay above mid-table in their past 100 matches.
In every position above mid-table, teams have maintained a positive goal differential across their past hundred games. It isn’t until we reach Bournemouth at number twelve that we see the first instance of a negative goal difference.
There is an eight-point difference between Everton and the teams just above them at the lower end of the Premier League standings. This shows that they've barely managed to stay afloat in recent years, yet still performed well enough to keep their position in the top division.
Below is the complete Premier League standings based on each team's performance over their most recent 100 matches (or as close as possible).
Please note that we have only included teams that competed in the Premier League throughout the entire duration, which means Burnley, Ipswich, Leeds, Leicester, Luton, Sheffield United, and Southampton are not part of this list.
