LSU's Title Hopes in the College Baseball World Series: What Are the Odds?

Last weekend, LSU suffered a setback against Texas A&M in their baseball series, yet their chances of claiming the championship remained strong. As indicated by BetMGM, LSU continues to have the third-highest probability for winning the College World Series in June.
The two teams leading the Tigers are Tennessee and Arkansas.
LSU secured two out of three games against Tennessee during their match-up in Baton Rouge last month. This weekend, they aim to achieve a comparable result when Arkansas visits them at home.
Texas, which continues to hold a a two-game advantage in the SEC rankings after being swept by Arkansas, sits No. 4 with +800 odds to win it all.
The list of national title contenders is chock-full of SEC teams. The five best odds to win the College World Series all belong to the SEC, with Georgia rounding out the list at No. 5.
The highest-ranked non-SEC team is Clemson, sitting at No. 6 with odds of +1500. Following closely behind Clemson is Texas A&M, which has been recovering steadily from a challenging beginning to the season.

Can LSU baseball win a national championship in 2025?
It’s clear that LSU possesses the pitching prowess needed to claim the championship. Given the injuries plaguing Texas’ roster and Tennessee’s uneven performance, LSU likely boasts the top starting rotation within the SEC. This advantage is further solidified with Casey Evans joining as their third-string pitcher. Notably, LSU’s star pitcher Kade Anderson keeps delivering outstanding performances. Anthony Eyanson has been recently crowned as the SEC Pitcher of the Week.
But LSU's lineup raises questions. The Tigers have no trouble mashing less talented squads, but the LSU bats struggle when facing a good pitching staff. The problem is always made worse when playing on the road too.
If LSU manages to reach Omaha, they won't be able to enjoy the familiarity of Alex Box Stadium.
For now, the answer to "Can LSU baseball win a national championship in 2025?" is yes. LSU is too talented to be overlooked, and the pitching gives LSU a chance vs. anyone, but the bats need to figure it out.
