WASHINGTON TWP., NJ - The Washington Township police department along with the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office are investigating following a tragic incident where a young boy died from gunshot wounds on Tuesday.
What we knowAround 2:34 p.m. on Tuesday, officers from the Washington Township Police Department were dispatched to a residence on the 400 block of Westminster Boulevard due to a reported case involving a youth who had been shot.
When they arrived, the police and medical personnel found a 10-year-old boy who had been shot in the head.
Even with all the life-saving measures, the child tragically passed away.
According to police, the child attended Birch Elementary School.
