Texas A&M-Bound QB Helaman Casuga Earns Invite to Prestigious Elite 11 Finals

Provo (Utah) Corner Canyon four-star quarterback Helaman Casuga remains among the country's premier quarterbacks in the 2026 recruiting class. Following an impressive showing at theElite 11 regional competition in the Bay Area onSunday, he continues to be considered as such. Texas A&M Commit is now set to head to Los Angeles during the summer season.

Casuga has been invited to the Elite 11 Finals, where he’ll showcase his skills alongside some of the other top QBs from June 17-19. He’s the eighth QB to pick up an invitation to the illustrious event.

Being invited to this event ranks among the highest accolades for high school football quarterbacks. In 2025, it will mark its 26th anniversary. The gathering brings together 20 of the nation's top quarterbacks over a span of three days. At the end, one MVP and ten additional 'finalists' are recognized.

Stroud , Bryce Young , Dylan Raiola and DJ Lagway Last year's Elite 11 Finals showcased over ten of the best twenty quarterbacks. Casuga joins Tennessee commit Faizon Brandon , Houston commit Keisean Henderson , Texas commit Dia Bell , USC pledge Jonas Williams , Miami verbal Dereon Coleman , Iowa State’s Jett Thomalla and Louisville commit Briggs Cherry .

Casuga pledged to Texas A&M last fall

Texas A&M recruiting got red-hot back in October and Casuga was one of the many dominoes to fall in the direction of College Station. He’s now set to join his former high school teammate and five-star wide receiver Jerome Myles , who joined the Aggies during the 2025 recruitment period.

“I believe that they’re building something special down there,” Casuga told News in A Day’s Steve Wiltfong . “Obviously I want to be part of the Elko era. He’s done so many great things at Duke and now he’s showing he’s capable of doing it at a SEC school.”

Corner Canyon has another elite QB

A season-ending foot injury limited Casuga to just six games in 2024. He still put up gaudy numbers in limited action, throwing for more than 1,600 yards and 18 touchdowns to just two interceptions, per MaxPreps .

Corner Canyon continues to reign as Utah’s top high school football program. The Chargers won 13 games and another state title in 2024, finishing as the No. 8 team in the nation, per the News in A DayComposite Rankings .

Casuga picked up a marquee win in the second week of the season, besting Florida juggernaut IMG Academy 35-34. Returning to action for his final year, the commitment from A&M aims to keep up with the tradition of producing skilled quarterbacks at Corner Canyon. Jaxson Dart , Zach Wilson and Devin Brown All of these individuals used to be quarterbacks for the Chargers.
