Springs Fire Engulfs Over 1,600 Acres in Tulare County; Ongoing Battle Rages On

More than 1,600 acres were engulfed in flames following a blaze that erupted near Ducor in Tulare County on Tuesday afternoon.
The so-called Springs Fire The incident was reported on May 6, 2025, approximately at 2:10 p.m., located at the intersection of Avenue 56 and Road 272, east of Ducor.
As reported by Cal Fire, the fire has consumed 1,608 acres and is currently only 5% contained.
Governor Gavin Newsom tweeted on X that the Cal Fire's C-130 Hercules has been deployed to combat the fire.
