Silent Disco Brings Inclusive Dance Party to Ohio Valley
WINTERSVILLE, OH — An inclusive silent disco event designed to unite individuals with various abilities is scheduled for Friday, May 30, between 5:30 and 8:00 p.m., at Crossroads Christian Church located at 110 Springdale Avenue.
The event, organized jointly by Crossroads Christian Church and Special Connections, is free for everyone. According to the organizers, the aim is to provide an inclusive environment where individuals of various age groups and capabilities can come together to appreciate live music and dance.
Attendees will receive wireless headphones to enjoy the music at volumes and speeds they find comfortable. This arrangement enhances accessibility for individuals with sensory sensitivities.
"We're anticipating more than 50 participants and are excited to witness our community come together through happiness and melodies," stated Kristina Gabel, who leads the Children’s Ministry at Crossroads.
