Punk Bunny and 7-Eleven Team Up for a Rockin’ Slurpee Shockeroonie
If you're missing out on Green Day's "Kerplunk!", celebrate the album with a taste of their brand new limited-edition beverage!
7-Eleven is teaming up with Green Day along with Punk Bunny to introduce a fresh Slurpee beverage flavor: Kerplunk Kandy Grape as an ode to the band's 1992 album "Kerplunk!"

Last weekend, Green Day celebrated their history in Hollywood with a pop-up event in Los Angeles, marking their partnership with 7-Eleven. Kerplunk Kandy Speakeasy is an exclusive 7-Eleven x Punk Bunny (the band's brand) pop-up experience that took place last May 3-4. The event offers guests a chance to try out their new products with free apparel customization to celebrate their newest flavor at 7-Eleven.

What makes the Kerplunk Kandy Grape stand out? This beverage offers a delightful mix with its sweet and uniquely flavored drink that mimics the taste of cotton candy grapes. Originally part of Green Day’s snack collection, these treats have been transformed into refreshing frozen delights. These items can be found exclusively for a short period at various 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes locations across the country.
Debuting last Friday (May 2), the group made their announcement via a megaphone as they approached the massive Slurpee dispenser. The distinctive and exclusive flavor was born from a rider’s specific desire for cotton candy grapes. Alongside unveiling this new taste, they mingled with supporters, signing special-edition, hand-painted Punk Bunny collectibles and personalized merchandise to highlight their collaboration.
More From 7-Eleven x Punk Bunny

Following the launch of Punk Bunny Coffee in 7-Eleven in 2024, excitement builds up for the upcoming releases. Additionally, 7-Eleven and Green Day will introduce three fresh flavors of Punk Bunny coffee at their locations: Mike Dirnt’s Turn Up the Bass Medium Roast, Punk Bunny Cold Brew Caramel Latte, and Chocolate Almond Specialty Latte.
Marissa Jaratt, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Sustainability Officer at 7-Eleven Inc., said that their first launch kept customers excited as they love seeing the music world and coffee culture collide. Jaratt added that they're channeling the same punk rock spirit over their iconic Slurpee drink. What's great about this is that the Kerplunk Kandy Grape is actually rooted in the band's story.
For the debut of the new beverage, visit participating outlets to obtain the latest Slurpee drink along with must-have drink accessories that complement your Green Day memorabilia. You have the opportunity to acquire an exclusive collector’s cup adorned with specially designed straws equipped with integrated Bluetooth speakers, ideal for transforming any setting into a musical experience. Every collectors' cup includes a QR code directing you to a curated Spotify playlist crafted by Green Day themselves.
In fact, even Billie Joe Armstrong recalled having great memories of Slurpee with his friends back when he was young. Being able to create a custom Punk Bunny flavor and bring it to everyone around the country has been an amazing moment for him.

What's Brewing at Punk Bunny?
Punk Bunny is just new to the coffee scene since they've just started last year. It was launched by Green Day punk-rock band members Billie Joe Armstrong, Tré Cool, and Mike Dirnt. The band is on a mission to bring fans the best coffee in the world, which became their aim when they created their branding.
As their newest project, they thought of their approach focusing on community, sustainability, and giving back. All of Punk Bunny’s roasts are organic and fair trade, having their own roasting facilities as they've partnered with organic farmers all around the world. They also plan to launch specialty roasts with their community partners, with profits going to their chosen charities - Oakland Roots is their first partner. Aside from that, the band also plans to donate profits through their Fuel by Love initiatives. These are the charities to receive:
- One Tree Planted
- Oceana
- Eat, Learn, Play
- Keep Memory Alive
- The Ron Finley Project
The brand also partnered with Keurig for sustainability innovations, transitioning 100% of their packaging to compostable or recyclable by this year. Currently, the brand offers the following roasts:
- Father of All… Dark Roasts
- Last Ride In
- Rooted Soul
Last year, Punk Bunny also collaborated with 7-Eleven for the Punk Bunny Coffee Anniversary Blend. It features hints of citrus to awaken the senses. There's also some warm cocoa with a hint of spice finish for a multi-layered coffee experience. They also brought their Fair Trade Certified coffee, along with the bagged blends and K-Cups of Sound Check and Last Ride In roasts.

From The Club
I am captivated by the idea behind Punk Bunny, particularly how it influences the local coffee-roasting community. Additionally, I find value in their selected charitable initiatives because these efforts demonstrate that they prioritize more than just the excellence of their coffee—they care about improving their environment too. As for their 7-Eleven Sure thing! I wouldn’t mind tasting that Kerplunk Kandy Grape; the cotton candy grape flavor sounds intriguing. Great work, Punk Bunny!
