Paige Bueckers Shares Surprising Career Insight Before Her Rookie Year

In a new video Posted by the official Dallas Wings X account on Tuesday, young children had the opportunity to interview several team members with some enjoyable and lighthearted questions. Those interviewed included Bueckers, seasoned guard Tyasha Harris, forward Myisha Hines-Allen, and newcomer Aziaha James.
One of the interviewers asked the UConn graduate, "If you didn't play basketball, what sport would you play?"
Bueckers acknowledges, “I seem to excel in many sports.” She continues, “It could be tennis, possibly golf… I played softball briefly too… Football is something I’m particularly skilled at, though I’m not sure if there’s a women’s football league available.”
Viewers stumbled upon the video and appreciated how endearing and touching the team’s responses were. Many individuals were seen laughing enthusiastically over Bueckers’ reply on social platforms as well.

In the same year, 2025, she was chosen as the top pickOverall No. 1 selection in the draft by the Wings, signaling the start of her professional tenure.
The upcoming Dallas Wings preseason match is set for Saturday at the College Park Center, where they will play against the Toyota Antelopes from the Japanese Women's Basketball League.
