"I'm a fan of his cricket, but I want an answer as to why he blocked me on social media," he added, explaining why he called Kohli a "joker".
Vaidya’s comment came amid a wave of online drama surrounding Kohli’s social media activity. Kohli had inadvertently liked actress Avneet Kaur’s Instagram photo, sparking widespread chatter.
Spurring the excitement further, Vaidya shared a comical video making fun of Kohli’s explanation. He parodied Kohli’s words and mockingly attributed the unintended likes to Instagram’s algorithm.
"Whoever she may be, please don't publicise it... it's Instagram's error, alright?" he joked.
The tension ramped up further after Vaidya disclosed that Kohli had blocked him on Instagram.
"Virat Kohli has blocked me... Perhaps it's just another algorithm glitch," he quipped, maintaining his lighthearted demeanor.
Nevertheless, it was a mysterious subsequent post from Vaidya that ignited a stronger response from the audience: "Virat Kohli's supporters are an even bigger bunch of clowns than Virat!" followed by a clown emoji.
The remark didn’t sit well with Kohli’s loyal supporters, many of whom responded with angry messages, and some even targeted Vaidya's family.
