Ohio State basketball head coach Jake Diebler provides offseason update

The previous season did not meet the expectations of anyone associated with the Ohio State basketball program. The squad missed the NCAA Tournament For the third consecutive year, they ended the season on a particularly disappointing note.
Head coach Jake Diebler wouldn’t hesitate to point out that the performance seen from the team and program last year isn't reflective of how things should go down at the Olentangy River’s edge. This week, he seized the opportunity to discuss these issues and offer updates about the program through the Ohio State Hoops "X" channel.
While hosting a brief, roughly three-minute social media update instead of a formal press conference may seem somewhat unorthodox, it’s quite refreshing that Diebler is taking the initiative to address various matters directly with the Ohio State community. To keep you informed, should you not have watched it yet, we’ve included his complete statement for your perusal.
In the video, Diebler discusses the letdown from last year, explains how the program managed to keep several crucial athletes, talks about what occurred concerning the transfer portal, outlines improvements being implemented at the Schott to enhance the atmosphere, and much more. Check it out and hear it directly from him.
It seems Diebler may consider doing more of these updates down the line, and should that happen, we’ll make certain to share them with you too. Let’s hope his optimistic outlook in this video reflects positively on his performance on the court for the upcoming season.
