Jennie and Lisa of BLACKPINK Steal the Show at 2025 Met Gala

Jennie and Lisa, who form part of the globally renowned group Blackpink, graced the Met Gala stage again on Monday evening.
Jennie, a Chanel ambassador, unsurprisingly wore the French fashion house for fashion's biggest night. The 29-year-old sported a Chanel tuxedo gown with a tailored black jumpsuit inside. The gown featured a white flower and quintessential Chanel pearls.
The K-Pop star told Vogue On the red carpet, the appearance was influenced by the Coco Chanel runway styles from the 1920s and 1930s. She sported a black hat adorned with white detailing. "I put my utmost effort into my research," Jennie said. Vogue regarding her approach to interpreting a theme and bringing it to life.
Jennie was also asking about Blackpink's upcoming world tour . "It's Blackpink in your area, back again," she said, referencing the group's iconic tagline. "I can't be the one spoiling everything but it's going to be good. We can't wait to meet our fans.
Lisa, who made her entrance on the blue carpet just moments after Jennie, was dressed in Louis Vuitton attire; she serves as a global ambassador for the label at age 28. The actress from "The White Lotus" opted for a black bodysuit complemented by an eyelet long-sleeve jacket above it. To complete her look, she chose a pearl and gold waist chain, along with some custom tights from the same brand and carried a black-and-white bowler bag from Vuitton.
Last month, both Jennie and Lisa had their first solo performances at Coachella, while earlier this year, Lisa starred in the third season of her acting debut. The White Lotus The Coachella performance coincides with the growing success of individual careers for each member of BlackPink. As the eldest member, Jisoo has lately become one more among Jennie, Lisa, and Rose to embark on their own musical journeys under different labels. Jisoo's was a global deal with Warner Records In December 2023, it was reported that Blackpink extended their exclusive agreements for collective projects with YG Entertainment. However, soon after, all four members chose to leave the agency to pursue individual careers. Jennie joined forces with Columbia Records via an alliance with her management firm Oddatelier; Lisa teamed up with RCA Records through a collaboration between her entertainment entity LLOUD; and Rosé inked a worldwide solo agreement with Atlantic Records.
