Jeff Horner Tapped as New Head Coach for Buena Vista Men’s Basketball
STORM LAKE, Iowa (KCAU) — The Buena Vista Beavers’ men’s basketball team has appointed Jeff Horner as their new head coach.
After spending seven years as the head coach at Truman State, where he accumulated 121 victories and received two Great Lakes Valley Conference Coach of the Year awards, Horner joinsBVU.
The individual from Mason City earned the title of Iowa Mr. Basketball in 2002 and proceeded to showcase his skills at the University of Iowa. There, he became a two-time honoree on the All-Big Ten Third Team and secured the Big Ten Tournament MVP award in 2006.
Horner, who was inducted into the Iowa High School Basketball Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2014, will start his new responsibilities right away, as stated by the university.
