Cullman Man Sentenced: Decades in Prison for Jail Break

A man found guilty of escaping from prison has received his sentence.
Subscribe to our NewslettersThe Cullman County District Attorney's Office reported that Anthony Beasley from Cullman was sentenced to 50 years in prison on May 6th.
In 2020, Beasley was charged with escaping from the Cullman County Detention Center and was recently convicted following a jury trial.
“I trust this statement will send a clear warning to anyone considering escaping or attempting to escape from jail. Ensuring the security of our detention deputies, jail personnel, and the broader community is at stake here,” stated District Attorney Champ Crocker. “I am grateful to Sheriff Matt Gentry and his team for their assistance in bringing this case forward.”
