Crash Reported: Highway 99 in South Sacramento Closed Following Major Accident

A traffic accident involving two vehicles occurred on the southbound lane of Highway 99 in Sacramento on Tuesday evening.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene following reports of an accident close to Mack Road at approximately 3:05 p.m., as recorded in the California Highway Patrol’s traffic logs.

The KCRA 3 traffic map indicates that an accident is obstructing at minimum one southbound lane close to the exit.

The extent of injuries, if any, remains unclear. Nonetheless, records from the CHP indicate that medical personnel were called to the location.
