Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark Secures 3-Year Contract Extension, Staying Through 2030

IRVING, Texas (AP) — The Big 12 Conference has extended Commissioner Brett Yormark’s contract for an additional three years, keeping him with the organization until 2030, as confirmed on Tuesday.

According to ESPN, the Big 12 board of trustees has extended his initial five-year agreement, originally scheduled to end in 2027.

Yormark served as the CEO of Jay-Z's Roc Nation entertainment company when he was appointed to replace Bob Bowlsby in 2022.

Yormark landed a six-year television contract extension With ESPN and Fox assessed at $2.28 billion, he facilitated the transition of Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah to the Big 12 after the collapse of the Pac-12. Additionally, he supervised the shift of BYU, Cincinnati, Houston, and UCF into the Big 12 as part of the negotiations led by Bowlsby in 2023.
