Adena's Joey Francis Claims Medalist Honors at Ross County Invitational

The Unioto boys and girls teams took the championships at the Ross County Invitational.

Adena's Joey Francis was the medalist for the seventh time this season.

Boys

100M: Zane Trace's Aaden Dunn was first (10.90), Adena's Joey Francis was second (11.00) and Unioto's Trevin Tuttle was third (11.10)

200M: Zane Trace's Peyton Dotson was first (22.70), Zane Trace's Aaden Dunn was second (22.80) and Adena's Joey Francis was third (23.00)

400M: Adena's Joey Francis was first (50.80), Zane Trace's Peyton Dotson was second (50.90) and Zane Trace's Aaden Gigley was third (53.20)

800M: Southeastern's Gage Renison was first (2:05), Unioto's Liam Lynch was second (2:07) and Zane Trace's Andrew Payton was third (2:11)

1600M: Unioto's Caleb Caplinger was first (4:50), Unioto's Rudy Leadingham was second (4:54) and Paint Valley's Jaxson Immell was third (4:57)

3200M: Unioto's Jaxon Smith was first (10:52.70), Paint Valley's Carter Elliott was second (11:22.12) and Unioto's Kaiden Annon was third (12:00.00)

110M hurdles: Zane Trace's Curtis Houser was first (17.20), Adena's Brady Noble was second (18.18) and Unioto's Bryce Derringer was third (18.30)

300M hurdles: Zane Trace's Curtis Houser was first (43.90), Zane Trace's Hudson Williams was second (44.80) and Unioto's Bryce Derringer was third (45.10)

4x100 relay: Unioto was first (44.90), Paint Valley was second (47.00) and Zane Trace was third (48.20)

4x200 relay: Southeastern was first (1:38), Zane Trace was second (1:41) and Unioto was third (1:42)

4x400 relay: Zane Trace was first (3:46), Southeastern was second (3:47) and Unioto was third (3:51)

4x800 relay: Unioto was first (8:54.44), Paint Valley was second (9:18.36) and Zane Trace was third (9:24.40)

In the high jump event, Judah Zickafoose from Unioto secured the top position with a height of 5 feet 9 inches. Meanwhile, Craig Branham and Daniel Morgan from Southeastern along with Yusef Wilson from Unioto all shared the second place after they each jumped 5 feet 8 inches.

In the long jump event, Joey Francis from Adena achieved first place with a distance of 19 feet 6.5 inches, followed by Aaden Gingley from Zane Trace who secured second position at 18 feet 3.5 inches. Rounding out the top three was Fisher Schaaf also from Adena, placing third with a leap of 17 feet 10 inches.

Huntington's Kalvin Manson topped the list at 144-6, followed by Unioto's Bryce Jarvis with 115-7, and Zane Trace's Blake Brower secured third place at 111-8.

In shot put, Bryce Jarvis from Unioto secured the top position with a throw of 47-7 feet, followed by Gavin Bell from Paint Valley who came in second at 46-3 feet, and Huntington’s Kalvin Manson took third place with a distance of 40-2 feet.

Girls

100M: Adena’s Jacey Smith took first place with a time of 12.60 seconds, followed by Southeastern’s Karlie Peters who clocked 12.80 seconds, and Paint Valley’s Izzy Garnes secured third place with a mark of 13.30 seconds.

In the 200 meters, Southeastern’s Karlie Peters secured first place with a time of 26.60 seconds, followed by Paint Valley’s Issy Garnes in second at 26.90 seconds, and Unioto’s Grace McBee took third place with a mark of 27.20 seconds.

In the 400 meters, Southeastern's Karlie Peters secured the top position with a time of 1:03.00, followed by Unioto's Adeline Lloyd who came in second at 1:04 flat, and Adena's Jacey Smith finished third clocking in at 1:07.30.

In the 800 meters, Alexa West from Unioto came in first with a time of 2 minutes and 25 seconds, followed by Rachel Lute from Huntington who secured second place at 2 minutes and 39 seconds. Rounding out the top three was Hayden Magill from Huntington, finishing third in 2 minutes and 43 seconds.

1600M: Adena's Vanessa Conley was first (5:47), Unioto's Alex McDonald was second (5:550 and Unioto's Ava Fyffe was third (6:05)

3200M: Adena’s Vanessa Conley took first place with a time of 12:25, followed by Unioto’s Briana Nelson in second at 12:58, and her teammate Ava Rooker secured third place with a timing of 13:03.

In the 100-meter hurdles, Adena’s Carsyn Savely secured the top spot with a time of 16.90 seconds, followed by Unioto’s Adeline Lloyd who came in second at 17.10 seconds, and Huntington’s Tori Smith took third place with a mark of 17.70 seconds.

300M hurdles: Huntington's Arlene Duty (50.5), Adena's Carsyn Savely was second (51.8) and Unioto's Oliva Cruz was third (53.1)

In the 4x100 relay, Unioto took first place with a time of 55.5 seconds, followed by Adena in second at 56.6 seconds, and Paint Valley came in third with a timing of 56.8 seconds.

In the 4x200 relay, Unioto took first place with a time of 1 minute and 50 seconds, followed by Huntington in second at 1 minute and 57 seconds, and Adena secured third place with a time of 2 minutes.

In the 4x400 relay, Huntington finished first with a time of 4:33, followed by Uniato coming in second at 4:34, and Paint Valley secured third place with a timing of 4:44.

In the 4x800 relay, Unioto took first place with a time of 11:32.3, followed by Adena in second at 12:13.5, and Zane Trace secured third place with a timing of 13:53.4.

In high jump, Katie Burns from Adena won with a height of 5-0 feet. Tied for second place were Kailee Johnson from Zane Trace and Jacey Jones from Adena, both clearing 4-10 feet.

Long jump: Adena's Jacey Smith was first (14-10), Unioto's Grace McBee was second (13-11.5) and Huntington's Tori Smith was third (13-10.5)

Discus: Southeastern's Abby Millet was first (94-10), Unioto's Brea Good was second (92-6) and Huntington's Madelyn Smith was third (87-9)

In the shot put event, Rowan Ruckel from Southeastern took first place with a throw of 39 feet 1 inch, followed by her teammate Reese Ruckel in second place at 34 feet 7 inches, and Madelyn Smith from Huntington secured third position with a distance of 32 feet.
