Woodcreek's Maryn MacNeil: Unstoppable on the Mound

ROSEVILLE, Calif. (KTXL) — The Woodcrown Timberwolf pack is enjoying quite an extraordinary campaign this year. Having clinched 20 victories with a flawless 11-0 record within their league, much of their success can be attributed to their star pitcher.

“When she showed up as a freshman during our initial tryouts, we were thrilled,” stated head coach Gary Ybarra. “This has been fortunate for us and for the team.”

Senior Maryn Macneil remains unbeaten as the pitcher for the Timberwolves, securing 15 victories this season. She maintains an impressive earned run average of 0.92 and tops the strikeout leaderboard in the Capital Valley Conference with 96.

I enjoy being a pitcher because I always get the chance to throw the ball, and it largely depends on me," stated Macneil. "This seems to be my strongest year yet when it comes to pitching, without a doubt also improving in hitting.

At bat, Macneil tops the Timberwolves' stats for home runs, hits, RBIs, and batting average this campaign.

She is dedicated to Hawai'i.
