Woman Dies in Tragic School Bus Collision in Vermont

An incident occurred around dawn on Tuesday where a 60-year-old female driver lost control of her SUV, veering across the median line onto Vermont’s Route 7 and crashing into a school bus, resulting in her death.

Dana Zazinski was declared deceased at the location just prior to 7:30 a.m. The operator of the bus, which did not have any students onboard during the accident, was transported to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center with slight injuries.

The Vermont State Police stated that witness accounts and additional evidence indicated Zazinski was moving northbound when she inadvertently drifted over the center line for reasons yet undetermined, leading to a collision with the bus.

The probe led to the closure of VT 7 for "a considerable duration," according to the police.
