Truck Crossed Center Line Before Deadly Crash Near Yellowstone, Police Say

A van carried a group consisting of twelve Chinese tourists along with one Italian tourist, alongside the driver. The police had earlier identified the driver of the pickup truck as Isaih Moreno, aged 25, from Humble, Texas.
The accident occurred Thursday evening close to Henry’s Lake State Park in eastern Idaho. This state park is approximately 16 miles (26 kilometers) west of Yellowstone National Park.
The truck was traveling west while the van was traveling east toward Yellowstone when it happened. Video from the scene showed clear weather conditions at the time.
According to the police, both vehicles burst into flames following the collision. They stated that DNA test outcomes would be necessary for identifying the additional victims. The incident also left eight others in the van with injuries, as reported by the authorities.
Due to the involvement of a commercial vehicle and the severity of the accident, the National Transportation Safety Board is carrying out a separate investigation, authorities stated. Representatives from the NTSB have inspected the location and are examining the available evidence, as reported by the police.
