Plan Unveils Tallest Building Yet: Maine's Skyline Set to Soar with 'Old Port Square'
PORTLAND (WGME) – Part of downtown Portland could soon be entirely transformed.
On Tuesday, the developers of "Old Port Square" revealed how their project will appear.

It spans across four acres located between Middle, Exchange, Fore, and Union Streets.
In the past fifteen years, developers have devised a strategy to integrate this region back into the Old Port district, featuring residences, accommodations, workspaces, eateries, and various amenities.
Atop the entire layout stands a structure looming over the region, making it the tallest edifice in the state.
Engineers claim the initiative aims at capitalizing on what makesPortland distinctive.

"In recent years, we’ve seen several recipients of the James Beard Awards come from this area, which is remarkable considering how tiny this town is. Capturing that enthusiasm and those ideals comes down to showcasing the genuine dedication of the individuals behind Portland’s success," stated Tim Soley, President and CEO of East Brown Cow.
A construction timeline for One Port Square hasn’t been released yet.
