Ohio's Sheriff's Office Welcomes New Four-Legged Deputy: Meet the Latest K-9 Addition!

The Ohio County Sheriff's Department has introduced its latest recruit, a 20-month-old German Shepherd called Kronos. Acquired via funds from the opioid settlements, Kronos will be instrumental in combating substance abuse within the area.
Kronos and his handler, Deputy Kyle Dailey, have finished an extensive eight-week training course, obtaining certification in drug detection, tracking, and searching for articles.
"When it comes to the worth of a dog, I, having been a former canine handler at the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, believe they are indispensable to the community," Dailey stated.
Kronos will not just cater to Ohio County but will also provide support throughout the whole Ohio Valley region.
"He might work in Ohio County, but his service will extend to the entire Ohio Valley. The state of Ohio lies just across the river, Pennsylvania is only a short distance beyond the state border, and folks frequently move between these areas," explained Dailey. "While he'll maintain an office in Ohio County, his presence will be felt throughout the region," added a spokesperson.
Zoro welcomes Kronos onto the sheriff's department K-9 unit, boosting their effectiveness in upholding law and ensuring public security.
