Missing Bell County Woman Found Safe and Sound

BELLCOUNTY, KY (WVLT) — On Tuesday evening, the Bell County Sheriffs Department sought assistance from the public in locating a missing woman.

As stated by the department, Makayla Smith, who is 23 years old, was last observed departing from her residence on Ledford Neal Road within the Stoney Fork area at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Smith, who was reportedly driving a red Ford Ranger, is described as being 5′7″ tall and 211 pounds with dark brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black dress.

Police announced that Smith was found safe just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
