James Comer Claims Epstein Docs Destroyed as MAGA Supporters Outraged

Rep. James Comer (R-KY) was recently questioned on The Benny Show about the full disclosure of the "Epstein Files," which are government records connected to the deceased convicted sex offender. Jeffrey Epstein .

Comer stated: "I doubt the Department of Justice possesses them. Alternatively, the Attorney General doesn't have them; otherwise, they would've been handed over. Although the President instructed their release and so did the Attorney General, as everyone knows, these haven't seen the light."

Comer stated, "A major concern of mine, which I shared with Kash Patel and many others, including Stephen Miller and several individuals as we approached the new administration, was that I hoped they weren’t destroying documents at that time. This comment was made a few weeks prior to the transition."

Comer reiterated that he mentioned, "I hope they're not destroying documents." The congressman further expressed his concern about the so-called 'deep state' within the White House potentially destroying documents. Comer added, "Fingers crossed that somebody has a backup of those."

Many MAGA supporters aren't convinced by Comer's narrative about the deep state destroying the documents.

As a conservative from Oregon stated: "Wasn't Pam claiming that Kash delivered numerous documents in a large truck? Therefore, she must be lying to us, or perhaps she disposed of the proof?"

In February, the Justice Department released “phase one” of the documents it had related to Epstein, including his contact list and flight logs — but none of the documents provided a big reveal to satisfy MAGA supporters.

Back then, Bondi dispatched a missive to Patel requesting additional paperwork, papers that were reportedly stored at the FBI’s branch in New York City. By March, Bondi stated that Patel was endeavoring to furnish the DOJ with a schedule outlining when the subsequent batch of documents would be released.

MAGA influencer Laura Loomer also responded by writing on X that Comer “basically said she [Bondi] lied about having the files because she said they were on her desk. Comer said he thinks the FBI and DOJ literally SHRED THE DOCUMENTS. Why did @AGPamBondi lie and say ‘the Epstein files are on my desk right now’? This is very damning and a black eye for the Trump DOJ under Pam Blondi.”

Political commentator Dominic Tripi also reacted to Comer stating, "Pam Bondi should be dismissed from her position right away because of this. Should President Trump fail to take responsibility or designate culpability, individuals might start holding him personally responsible."

Another commenter on Comer’s story chimed in: “Trump and Bondi need to be held responsible for this, period. They made a promise and didn't keep it. They could have done more and didn't.”
