Fire Crews Rush to Boat in Mechanical Crisis Near I-280 Bridge

DAVENPOR,T Iowa (KWQC)—On Tuesday evening, members of the Davenport Fire Department attended to a water-related emergency situation. Fortunately, nobody was injured during this incident.

Around 9:10 p.m., TV6 reached the location along the Mississippi River. The vessel was saved close to Enchanted Island Road, roughly a few hundred feet from the shoreline.

The Davenport Fire Department arrived at the location and informed TV6 that a vessel experienced a mechanical problem. Emergency teams were successfully towing the boat to the shoreline without any reported injuries.
