Eyewitness Describes Horror as Midtown Mass Shooting Unfolds
A person who witnessed the disorder following a shooting in Midtown on Monday evening mentioned that they could observe the individuals hit by gunfire nearby.

Subscribe to our NewslettersThe man said he hid behind a trash can with a woman he didn't know. He said the woman could see her friend lying in the road, crying out for help.
"Unless you witnessed something, leave now," stated the officers in the footage recorded at the location.
The individual recorded the instances when police officers hurried to the location of the mass shooting close to NW 10th and Harvey Avenue.
"Individuals moving in all directions," Johnson stated.

The police have not released extensive information regarding the shooting; however, they verified early Tuesday morning that seven individuals sustained injuries from gunshots, with an additional two people harmed by broken glass.
The gentleman mentioned he saw a woman in the street. He believes there was also a woman on the sidewalk. They appeared to have someone on a stretcher, but he wasn’t sure of their origin.
Several victims fled into The Collective, a neighboring establishment, seeking assistance.
Nathan Wiewel, a representative from the company, stated, 'Individuals were rushing into The Collective, and the staff was facilitating their entry, ensuring they were as secure as possible inside.'

Other people received assistance from unfamiliar faces on the sidewalk.
"The individual who saw the incident stated, 'If you come across someone lying on the ground with injuries, you should certainly attempt to provide help that might be crucial for saving their life,'" he emphasized.
The Collective said it hopes to help the victims moving forward.
Wiewel stated, "They're establishing a fund to gather funds aimed at helping to cover the medical costs for the victims."

Police have not identified any victims. KOCO 5 learned from a family that one victim was a woman shot in the back.
According to law enforcement, all individuals who were hurt were anticipated to make a recovery.
