Donovan Mitchell's Behavior Toward Tyrese Haliburton Is Turning Heads

The second-round NBA playoffs series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Indiana Pacers gives fans the opportunity to witness a toe-to-toe battle between two of the top guards in the league today.

This comes in the form of a much-anticipated matchup between Donovan Mitchell and Tyrese Haliburton, who went head-to-head on Tuesday in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals.

At one point in the game, the capacity crowd at Rocket Arena started jeering Haliburtion as the Pacers star shot a couple of free throws. Cavs fans were screaming "overrated" at Haliburton, which did not sit well with Mitchell at all.

Mitchell signalled to the crowd to quiet down after hearing their "overrated" chants aimed at Haliburton. The Cavs star was having none of it, and he made sure to tell the home fans how he felt.

Mitchell's behavior toward Haliburton grabbed the attention of fans on social media, as they praised the six-time All-Star for his gesture here.

"Respect 🫡" a comment on X read.

"Class," said another.

"I actually get it. You don’t want to give the foe fuel," suggested a user.

"That's how you shut down the noise!" a fan wrote .

"Donovan has all my respect for quelling the chants rather he didn’t want to give Hali motivation or doesn’t agree with the overrated chants. I am 100% for this," expressed another.

"This is classy as hell of Donovan," a reaction read.

While Mitchell's motivation might be unclear at this point, what cannot be denied is that he doesn't agree with the Cavs fans' savage treatment of Haliburton.

As of writing, Cleveland is up 98-89 early in the fourth quarter. Mitchell is already up to 36 points in what has been an incredible performance from him.
