What does the North Coast Express bus service to the Oregon Coast entail?
The North Coast Express is a new summer bus service that will expand car-free access to the Oregon Coast with a focus on tourism.
According to a statement, "The North Coast Express expands upon the expanding range of car-free travel choices in the area, providing a novel and hassle-free method for exploring the North Coast." news release Visitors have the option to spend an entire day exploring the coast or choose a more extended stay using our flexibly scheduled multi-day tickets.
The buses will feature complimentary WiFi and charging stations, as well as onboard restrooms, reclining seats, and expansive windows offering scenic views. They will also accommodate wheelchairs. Although storage capacity is restricted, there will still be ample space available for bicycles, surfboards, coolers, and various oversized belongings.
The pilot project, led by the Oregon Coast Visitors Association, is funded through ticket sales and by grants from the Oregon Department of Transportation and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as well as matching funds from Travel Oregon and the state transient lodging tax.

On which days does the North Coast Express offer bus services to the Oregon Coast?
The service will be available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays starting from May 23 until the end of August.
Where does the North Coast Express bus to the Oregon Coast depart from?
The early morning coastal route will feature two express services departing from the Sunset Transit Center located in Beaverton.
The Northbound Express goes to Cannon Beach, Seaside and Astoria.
The Southbound Express goes to Rockaway Beach and the Tillamook Creamery.
Both express routes will return to Beaverton during the evening.
The midday coastal connection service will enable passengers to embark and disembark at various coastal towns throughout the day.
