Chelsea Face David Hann cloak Transfer Twist as Marc Cucurella Exit Stance Clarifies
Heading into the final three Premier League matches of the season, Chelsea's campaign is far from over with plenty still to play for.
The Blues remain favourites to win the Conference League And should easily progress to the finals on Thursday evening. Nonetheless, they aim for more than just securing a spot in the Europa League as their only achievement.
Chelsea currently occupy a place in the top five which, if it finished like that, would see them qualify for next season's Champions League A place in Europe's top-tier competition would significantly enhance the club's aspirations in transfers.
- A surprising turn has emerged in Victor Osimhen’s potential move to Chelsea as another club prepares a competing bid of £56 million.
- Chelsea transfer talks revealed as £42.5m star open to bargain move this summer
With this in mind, football.london has taken a look at a couple of transfer rumours that are circulating around the Blues.
Hancko transfer twist
According to Voetbal International , Chelsea and West Ham United are both considering a move for Feyenoord's impressive centre-back David Hancko this summer. However, Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr has reportedly entered the race and is willing to offer more than £27m for the Slovakian.
What FL says: At 27, Hancko represents a defender with a clear shelf-life. While he is still good for another five years at least, the Blues will be aware that they are unlikely to gain much in the future for selling him. As such, Chelsea need to be careful about being drawn into a financial tug of war for the defender. Al Nassr will undoubtedly be willing to spend more than the Blues so if Chelsea truly want Hancko, they will need to hope that he would prefer to stay in Europe than head to the Middle East.
Cucurella exit stance
According to TBR Football , Chelsea have no desire to sell Marc Cucurella in the summer transfer window It is alleged that both Barcelona and Real Madrid have shown interest in signing the full-back.
Nevertheless, with three years left on his contract, Cucurella is still considered a vital asset for the Blues. Additionally, it is known that the Spanish player has made a comfortable life for himself in London and does not have ambitions of returning to his homeland.
What FL says: On the face of things, Chelsea are in a strong position to keep hold of their defender. Cucurella has managed to take his confident form in the Euros to the Premier League and his six goals from left-back is definitely impressive. Barca and Real are always going to be enticing for players, especially those hailing from Spain. But, with a healthy number of years remaining on his contract at Chelsea, both teams will need to spend big for the defender.
