Amarillo's Playa Lake Pumps: Ensuring Water Supply Continues

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — According to the City of Amarillo, the COA Utility Division has started running certain playa lake pumps as long as water levels remain above the designated cutoff points.

Authorities stated that these endeavors are still underway and might last for multiple weeks or even months, contingent upon precipitation levels.

Current lake levels:

  • McDonald Lake 90%
  • Lawrenece Lake 61%
  • Tee Anchor 69%
  • Bennett Lake 59%
  • Martin Lake 34%
